With thanks (or apologies) to Tim Rayment for borrowing his phrase ’50 shades of green’ from an article in the Sunday Times – it seems a wholly appropriate phrase to describe the torturing of the planet that greens go for.
Although I found the cartoon comical, it did not really hit home hard enough.
Greenpeace is such an ugly, deceiving and extremist organisation. The green equivalent, but without guns and bombs, of ISIL. Both organisations are consumed by hatred for all that is good in our world. By peddling misinformation and fear, their acolytes seek to drag those of us who survive their cleansing back into the miseries of medieval lifestyles

I still find it errrmmm…”funny”…that “the greens” don’t get the fact this rock has a shelf life, a use by date, determined by the death of our sun and not by some “carbon footprint” sticker on a product in a shop. It’s not if, it’s when! We estimate a long time…and humans by then may have found a way to live off-world. So no matter what they “do” or “wish” to be “done” it will, one day, *BE* destroyed by the very source of all energy received, and stored, by this rock we live on, ie, “fossil” fuels.
I learnt this when I was eight.
Patrick MjD – Doubt it will be that long. Just wait till the third rock from the sun gets smoked by an errant asteroid or comet and current earth life forms experience a big EV (Extinction Event). Lots of life will survive. But humans dependent on technology and lost survival skills will be at great risk and probably be dug up by some future archaeologist from some other planet. Perhaps the next dominant species will be whales … or Groupers.
I notice that somebody has already added a slanted report of this affair on Happer’s wiki page. They don’t waste any time do they. Curiously, no mention that Greenpeace may have overstepped any legal boundaries.
It is completely despicable what these trolls will do. And the Wikipedia update is just another example….there are those who will stand poised to make such edits….to keep the smokescreen fresh.
I used to give a regular donation to Wikipedia but I stopped this year as a result of these blatant lies being allowed to stand.
It is amazing that with all the propaganda arms of the state that its minions can not convince the great unwashed masses that CO2 “will fry us all”. The state has the government funded “scientists”, the mainstream press, the government schools, the left-wing Hollywood products on TV and in the movies, the vast bureaucracy, Wikipedia, and so on. And yet this lie just will not sell and stay sold to most people. It is utterly amazing.

Mark. My guess is that with all the assistance that you stated above, that they don’t have more influence than they do is what is making them crazy.
Rational people would say “Huh, looks pretty flat.” Extremists would say “Increasing trend!” And then something with the phrase “97% of scientists” in it. 🙂
Do you know WHY? It’s because regular working people, those who do something REAL in the world, OUTSIDE even, who actually experience Nature and get dirty and are out in the weather and see it first-hand, trust their own observations more than the hifalutin’ agenda of a bunch of overeducated “wonks.”
They’re NOT seeing the sea level rise, the snow go away, the deserts expand, islands sink, or any of the REST of this fictional crock of shit! The True Believers OTOH are from the ranks of the 4% or so of upper-middle-class social climbers who believe conspicuous “green” “social responsibility” gives them moral high ground to lord over everyone else. Singularly lacking in ANY experience beyond the theoretical, they are suckers for appeals to authority since they were carefully schooled never to think for themselves.
The facts stand on their own merit.

Climate alarmists have an army of Wikipedia editors who keep the climate alarmist propaganda alive. It is virtually impossible to stop them due the way Wikipedia is structured and run.
A blitz on a given day would be in order, perhaps.
It is very unlikely that most low information voters have ever heard of Lysenko.
The biggest problem is voter ignorance/apathy.

I read that there is a move afoot to lower the voting age to 16.
Actually the voters do understand some things and many are not apathetic. For example they know that when a politician says he’s going to do something good, he’s either lying or incredibly naive about what he can actually accomplish. That’s why negative political advertising works so well–the voters realize that their only real voting choice is which candidate is going to do less harm. Unfortunately the advertising strategists are often able to make the truly less harmful one look worse due to the limited knowledge and reasoning capabilities among the voters.
Most voters will support whichever candidate promises them the most free stuff.

The Greens have attempted to use the Tobacco case against people and organizations which do not support their claims.
Perhaps the tables can be turned; use the type of Law suits that were used against the KKK. Go after Greenpeace and through it its’ very membership.
Include in the law suit each and every member from the greatest to the least. If someone sent a check and got a neat note back that they are “Now a Member of Greenpeace” than they are now included in the suit. Discovery process would include them. They would have to turn over bank records property info, bluebook estimates of their autos.
Make the membership aware that they can be held responsible for the excesses of the organization to which they belong and support.
Discover would first be Greenpeace’ mailing and membership lists.

I have a confession. I do root for Greenpeace when they try to stop Japanese Whaling. There is no point to taking whales. That has nothing to do with the climate scam, and everything to do with not killing intelligent mammals when the economic justications for the whale meat and oils is gone in today’s world.
So Greenpeace gets a lot of good PR from those anti-whaling efforts, PR that helps underwrite and subsidize their other less noble Climate CO2 scam activities. From that standpoint, Greenpeace needs Japanese whaling to continue so they have a visible enemy to foil.
I’m with you vis a vis whaling, JoelOBryan. Whaling in this era is ev1l.
(and, given Greenpeace’s tactics in general, I would not be surprised to hear that they clandestinely promote that whaling)
