Josh channels the Antarctic boat people

Josh writes:

The Akademik Shokalskiy is much in the news, see herehere and this WUWT post with an update here. So what better way to summarise the CAGW movement this year. And last year, and the year before that…

Somebody left the CAGW”rs off the memo routing list, maybe the Chinese helicopter crew could print out Josh’s cartoon and paste it on the door.

What a great week for the alarmists. Expedition to demonstrate the impact of global warming on Antarctica stuck in unprecedented ice, while a near record breaking cold wave hits North America. Mother nature is refusing to cooperate. What will the shaman and charlatans do to convince the people that the globe is really warming because of their prosperous life-style.

I see the ship has been rechristened “Akademik Junket”. Brilliant :->
I’m sure they’re just stuck in rotten ice, anyway.

Not what I expected, but better than I imagined.
I’m not interested in a T-shirt, but I do need a new coffee mug, and this is a great summary (typo: dummary) of the year.

Reminds of this Grateful Dead track…

Over at The Guardian bunker they are launching major misdirection:
“Planet likely to warm by 4C by 2100, scientists warn”
http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2013/dec/31/planet-will-warm-4c-2100-climate
It contains this gem:
“Climate sceptics like to criticise climate models for getting things wrong, and we are the first to admit they are not perfect,” said Sherwood. “But what we are finding is that the mistakes are being made by the models which predict less warming, not those that predict more.”
But aren’t the “mistaken” ones the closest (albeit still too high) to real world temperatures? Doh!

Josh shoots; he scores! It’s another classic. Certainly refrigerator (and maybe t-shirt/mug)-worthy.

Nice one Josh. The AGWarmers keep coming up with great new material for you to work with 🙂

It’s hilarious but in reality they don’t see their “movement” as making little progress this year, they are more certain of their science than ever, classic confirmation bias. Some variations of the caption on this comic could hint at how blind to reality these activists are.

It just needs an outhouse on the far side of the boat and (downcurrent from that) an icefisherman’s hut, with well-traveresed paths to both.
Fish for lunch, all you “climate scientists” and “tourists”?
Bon appetit!

December 31, 2013 11:42 am

If it wasn’t for all that ice, we’d be able to see the big hole below the waterline in the SS CAGW.

It takes a lot of talent to come out with something so funny, so topical, and so quickly. Yeah, Josh scores again.

Josh,
Really Nice! Surrounded by ice cold reality, the passengers and crew of the Akedemak Junket are still flying the ‘party balloons’!

Too bad this happen a bit sooner.
It would have made a great cover (or back ) for the calendar!
(Maybe if next years includes December of 2013?)

TYPO!
Should be, “Too bad this didn’t happen a bit sooner.”

They know they lost. I have never seen so many comment options on MSM and BBC articles disappear as this year. A total crackdown on commenting; they have noticed that what kills them is when people talk to each other. Not only in the CO2AGW movement.
But, they will not be able to stop people talking to each other; they just drive the conversation and the clicks to the underground.

They’re just a hundred and one years too late. There was almost no ice visible in Mawson’s film as he entered and crossed the bay in 1912.

Considering the ship is still stranded on January 1st, it should make the front cover of the 2014 calendar. Perfect !

As ever a brilliant piece of work, just like my favorite newspaper cartoonist Matt at the Telegraph you manage to link several topics into one very funny cartoon that is both simple yet has depth.

It is 2014 and they are still stuck, so it will make a great cover for next year’s calendar.
Little did I know when I wished just before Christmas “and the Warmists a Cold and Snowy New Year”, that Mother Nature was going to take me seriously. (Just don’t tell the insurance people it is ALL my fault.)
I am sure she is laughing at Josh’s cartoon too.

If this were to be made into a T-shirt, I’d buy one for sure. Just got my 2014 calendar with cartoons by Josh, and it is great.

Fitting beginning To 2014. “AGW still stuck in the ice” Lol!
Great Global Warming expedition frozen in by Summer ice.
As soon as the “Scientists” leave the winds will shift and the ship will be free to leave. GOD does have a sense of humor. 😎 pg

The Owl and the Pussy-Cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat:
They took some honey, and plenty of (taxpayers’) money
Wrapped up in a five-pound note

We got already another powerful image for 2014: two ice-breakers trapped in ice with rescue helicopters on the deck.
