In the last week, I came across a graph on a climate skeptic website that showed the earth’s average temperature in F, the known variation of temperature on earth, and the rise of temperature over the last 100 years depicted all in 1 graph. The small rise in surface temperature was depicted as a thin band spanning the graph in the context of the broader temperature variation.
This was not an anomaly graph, but one depicting average global air temperature, around 58F. It seems to have been recently produced.
I meant to bookmark it, but now cannot find it. If anyone knows where it was published, kindly leave a comment. Thanks – Anthony
UPDATE: located, thanks for the help.
is it this one?

Depending on your browser, it should be someplace in your history. If you have a vague idea of what the site name was, you can search it. Of course, if you clean up your history you will have lost it.
Anthony, this may not be what you are looking for but did this graph (°F) in January: http://www.c3headlines.com/2013/01/nasas-boiling-oceans-updated-empirical-evidence-confirms-absurdity-of-prediction.html
Perhaps here http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/ice_ages.html about a third of the way down?
If you need help with a graph perhaps Dr. Jones can help?
As a geochemist I’m not sure how such an analysis is even possible. Have scientists forgotten the concept of significant figures? And how the heck does one calculate an “average?” Who is it that says that it is as accurate a number as the global average telephone number?

Graph here with a thin line as you describe.
REPLY: Yes that’s it. I had thought it was one of our guest essays, and did a search of our WUWT image media, but did not find it. It didn’t show up because it was oddly named and originated externally.

Thanks Gary – Anthony
Have you tried those descriptive keywords and performed a Google “image” search? Any of, or combinations of the following:
average earth temperature F
variation of temperature on earth
rise of temperature over the last 100 years
average global air temperature 58F.
E.g. this:
https://www.google.com/search?q=average+earth+temperature+F+58+deg&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=cAPeUbifEqKZyQHU74DgBw&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1270&bih=860
.

°C, and probably one we’ve seen many times before.
http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/temp-and-precip/time-series/index.php?parameter=tmp&month=12&year=2012&filter=12&state=110&div=0
°F, might be the one you want.
There is a graph similar to your description that is for the temperature variation in Chicago, but not the globe. Located at

A different version of the same graph appears on the http://www.climatism.net blog at
http://www.climatism.net/facts-about-global-warming/
Missed “global” before, but maybe you actually were looking at US, so I won’t exclude US.

More likely the one
Got what I need, thanks folks.
