Hmmm, nevermind, let’s try again this term. I’m so thankful to be here since Hansen’s reliance on his Jor-el complex was wrong the first time. Here’s some reactions to Obama’s speech yesterday as collected by Dr. Benny Peiser of The GWPF.

And climate change is about as difficult as any of the other items. Legislating the issue is even more difficult than finding a public consensus. Has POTUS ever had an actual job where he got his hands dirty or where he had to make an organization function without a bunch of party people guiding him about? To an outsider, it appears to me the US replaced a right wing guy who got told what to say through an earpiece with a guy who gets told what to do through a teleprompter. They both look a lot like automatons rather than leaders so who is really pulling the strings?

I was stumped for a while because I knew the December number dropped to 0.44, yet the average rose to 0.56! Now I know why! Here are the revised numbers for all twelve months:

If anyone has a good explanation why a number is raised 6 years later, I would like to know it.
Hansen did not foresee Obama wasting trillions on the “poor” and failed businesses. Leaving nothing left for his war on climate.
Isn’t the occasion of this speech the only time that Obama has referred to God in a substantive way? He should be careful. He might get himself in a conversation that is opaque to him and to his handlers.
Replacing the word God alternately or collectively with political power, polls, and staying on message is a better way to understand their collective illogic, policy waste and abuse, and willful deflection of science observations or failed model predictions.

I would just like to point out that in 2009 Obama created the Belmont Forum and in 2010 the Belmont Forum released what it called the Belmont Challenge to restructure the economy, society, and even human behavior itself. http://www.invisibleserfscollar.com/the-belmont-challenge-and-the-death-of-the-individual-via-education/ lays out what is being promised under the illusion it is required to save the world.
The Belmont Forum then joined in with UNESCO and UNEP and the International Council for Science and the International Social Science Council to get this global vision under way using IGBP in Sweden. Set up originally in 1987 after the release of the Brundtland Report. They call this effort the Future Earth Alliance and no one involved thinks it’s a joke or wears superhero costumes.
After a year of planning, FEA went operational on January 1, 2013. I’d say President Obama has the perfect vehicle for Transformative Change. Whether it is wanted or needed or not.
And with its monopoly influence over education, higher ed and K-12 mostly unappreciated, the accreditation agencies all over the world push UNESCO’s just basic skills and changes to values and belief systems. And it is all largely unreported or reported incorrectly as in OECD’s PISA and how it drives a poorly understood global Competency initiative that tracks back to the old notorious Outcomes Based Education.
If I was a President I would set up some throw-away goals too, so I’d have something give up during tough negotiations over other issues. Don’t too take much of what he had to say too seriously.
I would love to someone ask the President (or any climate activist for that matter) a question at a press conference such as: “If we had reduced manmade global CO2 contribution by, let’s say 20 percent from the levels of 1990, what affect would it have had on tropical storm Sandy, and how would it compare to the more powerful hurricanes to hit the northeast many years ago?”
Do these people really think hurricanes will suddenly go away, or perhaps turn away from the coast because we’ve reduced CO2 output? Geez….

Maybe someone could create a petition at We The People on the White House website to show how many of us feel that CAGW or whatever it is called now is scientifically incorrect and economically disastrous. If 100,000 people sign the petition within 30 days, the White House must make a response.

These are interesting times: I have the feeling “the consensus” is at last crumbling. It may become a faith thing versus a science thing. If it comes to that faith will lose, no-one really believes in creationist theories or Noah’s ark anymore. Reality check: NOAA’s is now able to close the sea level budget against data.
It evaluates sea level rise at <b?1.1 +/- 0.8 mm/year for 2005-2012.
A simple extrapolation gives a century prediction of ~110 mm (4.3″)!

To all of you out there citing the irrationality of what Obama says or how wrong Hansen is shown to be over and over….. None of it matters because their goals have nothing to do with being right or rational. Obama’s goal is to transform the U.S. into a socialist country where the government is in charge of everything and controls as many aspects of your life as possible.
Who knows whether Obama believes in Climate Change or not. That’s irrelevant. What is relevant is that getting legislation passed about Climate Change is another way to control your life and another step on the path to government controlling everything.
Obama lies every time he opens his mouth but since we have a media completely in bed with his agenda, he never gets called out for it. And when the right tries to call attention to it they immediately get branded and crazy Constitution thumping right wing zealots.
We’re losing the war and will lose it completely if we don’t change out tactics. We have to go after the socialist left the same way they are going after us. That may be abhorrent to rational science minded people but logical debates over what is true and what is not true don’t work when one side is winning with tactics where science and logic are ignored.
Obama will fight the battles in the next 4 years that he thinks he has the best chance at winning as any win advances the socialist cause. Climate Change may or may not be a battle that can be won. His speech was just an dream list of battles he’d like to win. Some will be postponed for another future liberal administration to pick up.

The National Academy of Sciences released a report today called “Climate and Social Stress: Implications for Security Analysis” that uses IPCC and the USGCRP reports as its authority that climate change is happening and it is time to move on to the national and international secutity risks posed.
The report does something I have never seen before and I read these reports a lot. It keeps making references to a whole-of-government approach and strategy. As in
“The US government should begin immediately to develop a systematic and enduring whole-of-government strategy for monitoring threats connected to climate change.”
That’s not climate change as science. It’s climate change as political and economic organizing principle using all governmental powers.

It was brutally cold and snowy cycling home from work last night. Hardly a set of conditions conducive to pondering AGW and how to save the planet, but there I was, thinking and pedaling along. So many newspaper editorials these days are expressions of ache for carbon taxes to right price carbon, yet governments slumber away – apparently in deep climate denial. Nonsense, I thought to myself, we can take action at a grassroots level today if we want. So I put a facility on my cycling blog to allow concerned citizens to voluntarily raise the price of their carbon, while I offset their carbon emissions with every rotation of the crankarms on my bicycle. Thus far, no newspaper columnists that have clambered for carbon taxes have made use of this facility. Nevertheless, this very low income individual will continue leading the low carbon lifestyle, secure in his trust that AGW worried folks will step forward and take immediate and effective voluntary action today.
Well I’m not old enough to have seen it happen; but I am old enough to remember that it happened.

Ok, I’m not exactly certain which particular god (forgive the small ‘g’) Obama’s talking about here, there’s been lots of them down through the ages. Perhaps Mr. Obama can enlighten us. Is it the green god Mr. Gore has recently (ok, not so recently) discovered? Is it Reverend Wright’s god? Which god is it Mr. Obama? Is it you? Did you command yourself? Or, is it the people’s god? Don’t forget, they pay your salary. So what particular god of the people did you talk to? I don’t recall you bringing that conversation up during the campaign. Why not? Is that because there were to many different gods talk to? What particular characteristic of your upbringing in Indonesia, or Hawaii, or your tutelage by Franklin Davis, or good ‘ol Saul, or your community organizing days, has given you unique access to the commands of a god, whichever of several there may or may not be? Oh, and by the way, is that god carefully hidden in the Constitution, only available to be teased out by someone on the same plane, someone such as yourself?
All of this stuff is flat out scary. Practically half the population here is flat out insane. These obama people are showing that they are the most despicable people in the world. Proof of this is in their actions bringing out a pre-existing political agenda (the old gun control debate) following the recent tragedy of some lunatic murdering a bunch of innocent kids, trying to push their agenda playing on the emotions of the populace. There are even admissions by these clowns that their proposed changes would have had no effect on the tragedy. What’s worse, their solutions sap limited resources and action away from changes that could have prevented the tragedy and future similar ones.
This probably will apply to their “save the planet” barf. They will destroy wealth and prosperity and the well being of most people in order for them and their select little cadre of supporters to consolidate power and control. All this being done while accomplishing nothing to solve the actual problem or in this case, assumed problem. Hence, it doesn’t matter what the data shows. We could be headed for a full bore ice age in 10 years and they will still be trying to ban carbon based fuels.

Jim–the UNESCO takeover and reform of higher ed started in 1998. What time any of those men spent passing through a campus briefly was before that.
The accreditation agencies push to remake education away from academics goes back to the 30s and what is known as the 8 Year Study. It still impacts education and is still seeking full implementation as what we know today as Outcomes Based Education.
UNESCO has always been about changing the nature of the West noetically. Through cultural evolution which is Lamarckian. Julius Huxley basically created the template for UNESCO around cultural evolution. People unskilled in Marxian thought put the focus on economics and control of the means of production. The main target though that can drive the remaining goals has always been consciousness.
And in the mid-90s UNESCO and the accreditors began to coordinate in a process misleadingly called Quality Assurance.
And right now much of what is going on in education is designed to make sure there is no more Creative Destruction displacing current companies. Think of what the buggy whip makers would have done about 1900 if they had had the political connections to try to rig their markets.
Dirigiste is the word for such a politically connected state directed economy of the public sector and Cronies. Very similar to Mercantilism. Prosperity for the connected.

I’ve spent a lot of thought trying to unravel the mystery of how so-called “liberals”, such as Hansen et al, actually think. The first result of my thought process tends to confirm my Theory of Inverse Reality in that “liberal” is, more or less, the opposite of what it is intended to be. Consider the colors red and blue for instance. Does anyone remember when we called communist China “Blue China?” People who identify themselves as liberals or Democrats nowadays call themselves “Blue”, but in reality such lines of thinking run more towards the socialist end of the political spectrum, or closer towards “Red China”. California, where I live is called by almost everyone to be a “Blue” state, but in reality we are closer philosophically to a socialist state than say Texas, for instance. So how did red and blue become transposed so neatly on this side of the Pacific Ocean and no one seems to have noticed? Take light bulbs as another example. Is being of the liberal persuasion concomitant with providing a narrow or wide choice in “allowable for purchase” light bulbs in a supposedly free society? One might think that legislatively narrowing ones choices in the lighting arena portends a more conservative approach, not a wide-open liberal one, where you can purchase whatever kind of light bulb you want. Perhaps the most egregious example might be biofuels. If I am to believe that liberals are looking out for us little people, how does mandating use of food for fuel accomplish that purpose in any way? Does it not accomplish the exact opposite?
Catch my drift?
These days, when I see things like Hansen rebooting or recycling the same warning and tipping point, two election cycles in a row, I automatically pass this through the inverse reality lens and come to the exact opposite conclusion. Because, as counter-intuitive as it may seem, it is rarely ever wrong.
That is why I ardently believe everything Obama/Hansen/Mann et al do not say. Applied in this pretzel-logic way Hansen might actually be correct. It is entirely possible that we will arrive at a climate tipping point in the next 4 years, another 4 years or even 4 centuries or 4 millenia. But it will probably be of the opposite sign of the one expected. It might very well be the slide into the next ice age, which is now due…………..
In the final analysis we have labeled ourselves Homo sapiens, the wise one. This too may have run afoul of the Theory of Inverse Reality.

To answer your question, if Obama’s current spending trajectory holds for the next four years, we will be looking at U.S. debt in the neighborhood of $20 – $25 Trillion. Those dollars will have to be repaid. Unchecked inflation is the easy way for government to pay those debts. In the mean time, Obama cronies get to spend those dollars at today’s buying power.
This is the inevitable result of hyperinflation.
If there are any doubts that this Kenyan is deliberately destroying the U.S. economy, his wild spending spree should put those doubts to rest. We are being sold out by someone who plans to be the future UN Secretary-General — and in charge of the world. That will be his pay-off for selling out U.S. sovereignty, and that is where all this is heading.

It would appear that the trend of the latest forecasts is a significant lowering of the HANSON alarmists prediction. By the end of 2017 his forecast could be a full degree higher than the observed.

Australia: depends on where you live, most live near the coast and most of the agriculture is conducted inland, not all bananas grow up hills near the coast.(Coff’s Harbor) Urbanites are used to two showers a day, because it gets hot and they hate dust and sweat. Bush bunnies, are used to droughts so have to share a bath sometimes in severe drought weather if they rely on only rainwater to fill their tanks. But its the floods and bush fires that are causing problems right now. And no amount of money to save the earth from climate change will solve that. It’s just that people built on flood plains years ago, without knowing the danger they were in when the rain’s came. Instead of solar panels they should build more riverbank levies and concentrate on better bush fire management. Did you know the majority of our brave bush fighters are volunteers, like some of our coastal life guards. You know I had someone visit me from the government to assist me to help me save using too much electricity, . He reckoned my hot water bill was way over average (I had two visitors using the shower for one month or more, with only a 60 gallon off peak water tank) he tried to spin me on solar heating as off peak charges would finish next month. I said where I live solar is not a feasible option, as it gets too cold here. True too. Yes Anthony the carbon tax is useless, and people would not mind paying it if it did improve the environment, hence it will be scrapped next September when the coalition remove the ALP.
