Hump Day Hilarity: songs for round up day

This is amusing: We sing at events supporting peace and social justice around Oxfordshire.

That description from their web page seems nice, until you listen to what they are singing.

“what shall we do with the climate skeptics… if they won’t shut up?”

Maybe this? Hmmm, not so funny.

At least they didn’t explode any kids

h/t to The Daily Bayonet

Shows quite clearly that warmism is a religious cult – development stage comparable to the age of the inquisition. I see potential for development but it might take a few religious wars.

The depth of self-righteousness indignation is astounding, but it does cast a light on understanding why so-called witches were burned enthusiastically by the general public. Sociologically it would be interesting to see where the greatest anit-skeptic ranting is: during the days of the Inquisition, the greatest witchburners were Germans, then French, then the Scots. The English hung and drowned their witches, but to a lesser extent than the Scots. The Italians and Spanish were actually better at not killing off their political and neighbourly rivals under the guise of witchcraft. Which is another good example: the witchcraft persecutions were more about the wealth taken from the accused and the settling of scores than about actual practices of witchcraft. Just as climate alarmism is less about climate change damages than about settling socio-political scores and …. money.

Nothing like the sound of Orwellian sheep to add holiday cheer.
But seriously, I have a question for anyone who might have an idle moment as the season sets in:
1. If we release CO2 and energy by burning carbon-based fuel, and then
2. natural processes absorb all the CO2 and energy to re-form the carbon-based fuel,
how is there any net release of energy to the environment?
Indeed, since some of the energy from (1) escapes into space, I would assume that we need energy from space just to enable (2).

“The group is named after the colour of the ribbons worn by the Levellers, a radical movement in Cromwell’s Model Army. The Levellers believed in equality for all, justice, and human rights – things that inspire us, centuries later. We try to be true to the spirit of the Levellers – steadfastness in the face of oppression, determination to live by their principles.”
I don’t remember the Levellers having a penchant for hypocrisy in the history books.

Its easy to hate, one step from fanaticism and ignorance and intolerance too many. Its hard for cult members to define and adhere to normal civilised moral behaviour buts its also a very natural psychological reaction of true believers to lash out in anger at any other people who do not belong to the cults greater personality.
To admit error, ‘when the facts change I change my mind’ is actually difficult and represents the highest gift of higher human endeavour. When a cult group personality is forced to face reality it acts to withdraw from that reality but also begins to hate those this group personality sees as responsible for this exposure. The natural reaction of the fanatic is anger and hatred and denial and a desire for revenge.
The tragic result of the years of brainwashing by cynical opportunists has created many fanatics, they will find it almost impossible to see reason and return to some semblance of rational thought, just as rescued cult members are difficult to be deprogrammed so a whole mass of people with an entrenched belief system will be cut loose. The poisonous legacy of a poisonous anti human anti rational belief system unleashed by selfish cynical and manipulative forces will linger long after the CAGW theory is derided by those who champion it today.

The Warmists are their own worst enemy. First they were preaching to a small and shrinking choir, now their choir is singing to themselves. Every video like this turns off more people who might have previously believed or gone along along with the Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming Narrative. O come all ye faithful and challenge the liars who are stealing your money and trying to run your lives in the name of Global Warming.

“Make them explain to their children’s children why they did not care.”
This is always a dead give away for someone that doesn’t understand the science.
The level of care for the environment shouldn’t influence anyone about a scientific issue.
That being said, there are plenty of staunch environmentalists that HATE seeing all the resources which could be used to address real problems but are instead being stupidly diverted towards climate change research.

I had to stop the video and drag it back on several parts in order to figure out what they were singing, but came up with the following things they would like to do to us if we don’t shut up:
1. Tie up our assets in coastal property, (rising expectations).
2. Put us in the desert and ration our water, (we’ll see how they mind it)
3. Take us to the Arctic and make us tread water (watch the polar bears!)
4. Lock us in a room with nothing but money (see what good it does them).
5. Make us explain to our children’s children why -we-did -not CARE!
They seem a vicious lot, especially the parts about putting us in the desert with rationed water, and putting us in Arctic water with polar bears.
The question is,
What shall we do with the Global Warmists, If they don’t get a clue?

Hello. I would like to wish The Sea Green Singers a Merry Christmas, in their search for truth and peace.

Your sweet little bloody minded singing ditty is a veiled threat at torture and murder by thirst, drowning and suffocation. Maybe you could re-introduce the rack or better still the Inquisition to purge those filthy skeptics from the face of the killer CO2 laced world. This could be your next action video?
What a sanctimonious uninformed and hateful twisted group of freedom lovers you must be? Its nice to see St Columbia’s Church is used for this evil work, is it a place of God or a Star Chamber? Does St Columbia’s Church sanctioning this spiteful hate filled mongering that is sanctioning death to anybody who dares to question the abusive global warming hoax.

That was really pathetic…. and creepy, in a sadistically sick fashion. As such, it adequately represents their ‘science’ and belief systems.
We are neither skeptics nor advocates of Man Made Global Warming. We are realists, seeking honest science.
We are scientists, engineers, physicists, mathematicians, archeologists, and laymen from every walk of life. Because we damn well do care, we demand honest, open science, founded on the Scientific Method. When we see dishonest and corrupted ‘science’, we confront it and denounce it. We will not shut up. Never.
We will gladly explain their dishonesty to our families, the children of the Global Warming faithful, and anyone else seeking an honest discussion of any climate related topic.
I would like to personally invite any or all of that pasty faced prattling pack of pusillanimous pukes to try… Please!… Try to make me do any of their re-education camp torture recommendations. I guarantee it will indeed be ‘educational’ and they’ll be singing a different tune, when we’re done.

Just to add a small point to the link to Armstrong and Miller above: the one potential saving grace in Britain with the whole climate scam is that we have a long tradition of mocking and laughing at people who tell us what to do (especially when self appointed, like these unmusical harridans, and especially when what they tell us to do is absurd). Huge proportions of ordinary people have finally clocked this stuff as unmitigated bollocks. And the BBC let this through too – which is the most astonishing bit.

I wonder how many will hold their hands up when the revolution comes?
It is the same with most propaganda, mindless drivvel taught to be spewed out by equally mindless people who feel ‘safe’ in numbers.
Exactly how many of said choir members does anyone think would be able to come here for a an intellectual open debate on the subject?

Well, they have clearly expressed hatred toward me. They have advocated assult on my peron and property. They have advocated suppression of my freedom of speach, my rights. (I think that is a violation of Civil Liberties laws, at least in the USA).
Does not the UK have a “Hate Speach” law? It would be nice to see it applied here.
BTW, I think the lyrics listed are a bit off. I heard “Tie up their assets in SOCIAL property rising expectations” i.e. confiscation of property. Also, “What SHALL we do” Intentionality.

I got very distracted by Nigel Farage on U tube. That is a character and a half.
I realize that people have freedom to express their opinion. HOWEVER when that opinion is to drown me, starve me, and feed me to the arctic wildlife, I call BullSnip. The worst part is that the only ways of dealing with this sort of hateful behavior involves behaving in a similarly morally deficient way.
how awful. in order to destroy it you have to be like it.

Shouldn’t it be “what shall we do with the climate skeptics… if we can’t blow them up?”

No one does the tweedy, middle class crank better than the English. Accept no substitutes.
They are “mostly harmless” though.

As always the comments are as interesting as the arcticles.

I am surprised it got thorough the BBC. But such is the 10:10 style group think of some producers, I imagine they were thinking the joke was on the sceptics, not themselves….

This are people the same worldview, that in a different era, cheered on the National Socialists because their eugenics science was directing a society that was, in their view, more beneficial to mankind.
On InstaPundit this morning is an entry that direct your attention to a story about how many people Mao killed when his policies caused the Great Famine of 1958 to 1962.
The author says:
“Between 2 and 3 million of these victims were tortured to death or
summarily executed, often for the slightest infraction. People accused of
not working hard enough were hung and beaten; sometimes they were bound and
thrown into ponds. Punishments for the least violations included mutilation
and forcing people to eat excrement.
“Communists are as bad as Nazis, and their defenders and apologists are
as bad as Nazis’ defenders, but far more common. When you meet them, show
them no respect. They’re evil, stupid, and dishonest. They should not enjoy
the consequences of their behavior.”
Every single AGW-related policy recommendation is socialist in nature. Every single one implies more government and less personal liberty. Every single one of them seeks to diminish the prosperity we enjoy in the west. They are all to one degree or another socialist in nature. And socialism is just a polite term for communist. In the end, these people as we have seen are willing to propose that if we have to blow up children to coerce people to agree to their policy proscriptions, they will blow up children. How is this different from what Mao was willing to do? The only difference is that Mao had the power and these people do not, at least yet.

You only become the center of a hostile fixation when you’re perceived as a real and imminent threat. The more they heap it on in frenzied and irrational vitriole, the stronger we become. The 10:10 and the singalong create two huge advantages to the skeptics’ side. One is the hostility and extremism disgust a lot of people who may be neutral about AGW but will turn away because they are offended. The other is that the intensity and frequency of attacks act as a very reliable measure of the fear level within the AGW camp. I’ll be more worried when skeptics are no longer the sun around which the AGW planet revolves.

Interesting that their programme includes “Fight The Cuts” (a reference to the student/hard-left riots currently afflicting the UK) and the “Internationale” (the traditional anthem of international communism).

What if we lived our song so sour
Lived with no cars, no oil, no power
We wouldn’t make the first 12 hours
(in harmony with sustain..)
If we practiced what we preeeeeeach…..
This is really offensive to me on a lot of levels. They are going to kidnap me and feed me to polar bears or dehydrate (torture) me in the desert because I don’t believe in the same propaganda that they do?
Had I been there I probably would have been quite disruptive.
