If you really want to see impact, use that same site, same comparison, but run the view out to max.
It shows that Anthony, since starting his site, has shown a continous upward trend, compared to the “random noise” associated with RC.
It also shows something else: since RC doesn’t provide links to you (and neither do Tamino, Eli and others), then people are finding your site without their help (they’re not getting here from there).
Recently, it appears that news articles are referencing more to here and CA rather than RC and company. That only boosts your rank.

I found your site about a month ago. Your content here is the right message at the right time, and I think the traffic will only continue to increase. After about 15 years of social programming, sometime in the past year or so, the green community decided it had reached critical mass to move ahead with “taxation, regulation, and legislation” (the three cornerstones of liberal government, to quote Mitch McConnell).
Sadly for them (but happily for humanity), their timing happened to run into cooling temperatures and rising energy costs. Most Americans get a little suspicious when the “answer” to any problem is higher taxes, increased regulation, and a lower standard of living. They will seek out the truth on the Internet, since the msm has failed us, and they will find persuasive information here.

I was lecturing on “Gorebal Warming” aboard a ship during a trans-Atlantic repositioning cruise to the UK from late March through early April this year. The accumulated masses not in the casino (about 250 to 400 attendees) clamored for more information sources to confirm my radical centrists’ take on the subject. I directed them to wattsupwiththat.com as the best, most honest site on the subject of climate change and the source for the . I’m not claiming credit for the increased visitation to wattsup. I used to visit the RC site fairly frequently back in 2006. It was uncomfortable to witness the unsettling psych of the AGW ilk.
Then, one foolish day, RC decided to post something which tried to show that the sun played no significant part in the earth’s temperature variables overtime. Doing so they crossed an invisible threshold that separated them from being a site of supposed scientific debate to one of unbalanced and clearly irrational cult like worship of AGW theory.
Anthony, the numbers show opinions are being swayed on the basis of logic and reason, a pleasant affirmation that people are able to differentiate between illusion and reality, and that they take their own initiative to study the subject matter to draw their own conclusions. What is most pleasing to me is the distinction of us being the denialists has in fact turned the other way. The AGW cultists are clearly the ones in denial!
Praise you and others who have made the web sites that took the bold steps away from what we were being told and demanded of to believe.

Thanks for a great site. I always look at yours and SMcI’s Climate Audit, before I offer an estimate of future fuel prices, as part of my job. BTW, I also look at other “recognized” sources. NOT RC…after all, with RC, all I would have to say is that it will cost you more and more, you will be able to afford less and less, and you will owe more and more…so why bother, unless you have paid your Communist Party Dues!!! Hope you continue to answer, especially when you make a mistake. I find it so enlightening when you, or SMcI, Ross, Pielke, or Loehle admit to an error (usually small), and Hockey Team et al, ie Gavin, have such fatal errors. For those who don’t know, the correct conclusion of Wegman and North is that Mann, Gavin (because his models agree), are bad science. Sometimes you may note that Gavin, Mann like to claim that small errors by sceptics are the same as fatal errors by AGW warmists. The correct comparison is that SMcI/Ross was able to reproduce Mann by 99+ according to Wegman, but what was that the 1452??? R”^”2 step 0.02??? A 10,000 times better scientific statement!! Go figure (Gavin)!

As a former TV meteorologist, I present what I think will interest a broad audience, and what is in play in the public mindset at the moment. Science as a pure crucible is often hard for a broad audience to grasp. Steve is excellent at the divining the details, I like explaining them so that everyone can understand. It’s what I did for 25 years on TV.

This also may reflect a shift from the mainstream media to blogs, when looking into subjects where the mainstream media’s coverage reveals an overriding bias and an unwillingness to report anything that goes against that bias. I still look at CNN, BBC etc., but my first ports of call when catching up with everything climate-related, are blogs (such as this excellent example) which make the traditional news media appear about as informative as books written for five-year-olds.
There are parts of the MSM who plug Anthony’s blog. Christopher Booker in the English Daily Telegraph often uses this blog as a credible reference.

I check the web activity of 4 global warming sites on a weekly basis using Alexa. You, RC, CA, and Tamino (just to make sure that no one is still reading his angst. Generally, they are not!! 🙂 ) Anyway, it looks like you are back down to your “standard” levels. I’m just curious as to what caused the beginning of June boost. Do you think it was the AGW bill in congress or other.

As a former TV meteorologist, I present what I think will interest a broad audience, and what is in play in the public mindset at the moment. Science as a pure crucible is often hard for a broad audience to grasp. Steve is excellent at the divining the details, I like explaining them so that everyone can understand. It’s what I did for 25 years on TV.
This also may reflect a shift from the mainstream media to blogs, when looking into subjects where the mainstream media’s coverage reveals an overriding bias and an unwillingness to report anything that goes against that bias. I still look at CNN, BBC etc., but my first ports of call when catching up with everything climate-related, are blogs (such as this excellent example) which make the traditional news media appear about as informative as books written for five-year-olds.

There are parts of the MSM who plug Anthony’s blog. Christopher Booker in the English Daily Telegraph often uses this blog as a credible reference.
I wonder if the Flat Earth society gets more hits than the Round earth society.
I wrote: “Looks really bad when a single weatherman gets more hits to his blog than a room full of climate scientists…”
To which McGrats replied “Alleged “climate scientist,” Henry. Alleged!”
Well, they are “self-proclaimed” climate scientists, anyway.
What do they use to get scientists to join?
“Join the Climate Scientists, where a man can become a legend in his own mind.”
Right now, I’d believe a Scientologist before I’d believe a Climate Scientist…

I check the web activity of 4 global warming sites on a weekly basis using Alexa. You, RC, CA, and Tamino (just to make sure that no one is still reading his angst. Generally, they are not!! 🙂 ) Anyway, it looks like you are back down to your “standard” levels. I’m just curious as to what caused the beginning of June boost. Do you think it was the AGW bill in congress or other.
Hope you started using Alexa after my comment to you a few months ago comparing you vs. RC!!! It’s a great tool.
