“Robust” has a new image. Josh writes:
Over at Climate Audit Steve McIntyre’s posts on the ‘Mann vs Steyn’ battle are great fun to read and the comments are very entertaining. The posts are here, here, here, here, here, and here, with another post added today.
Many thanks, Steve, for a great set of posts – the cartoons are queuing up.
PS In case you are wondering where Mann’s attire comes from the reference is here.
[I suppose if Skeptical Science can do it, so can Josh, right? – Anthony]
Love the pink cheeks! Well done, Josh, your cartoons are great. 🙂
Brilliant: Mann’s next case… let’s start a tip jar for Josh’s defense now.
/sarc
He is going to need a larger shield. Plus he better make sure that hockey stick is sharpened.
“We…are…HOCKEY STICK!!!”
I noticed that Mann stated in a response to a former student that he’s color blind… Perhaps some cartoons designed just for him might be in order?
(evil chuckle, as thoughts run to pastels that in monochromatic hues would sort of.. run together…)
…. But that handicap could explain why he missed the MWP when calculating the Hockey Stick…
He just couldn’t see it!
His shield should be the infamous tree slice.
For some reason, this Chip Bok cartoon reminded me of Josh.
Only the cloak that identifies the imperator is purple!
Oh my.
Some rigor!
Btw. I followed the link to the WUWT to the Skeptical Science takes ‘creepy’ to a whole new level and noticed the black and white photo of german soldiers from the 1940s, where “Herr John Cook” was scribbled onto the image. I thought it strange no swastikas could be seen and the symbols in the image were unknown to me. After googling the image I found what looks like the original, complete with swastikas.
Clearly, what has happened is that the swastikas have been carefully replaced (using Photoshop or similar) with black and white versions of the SkS logo…. both on the banners in the background and on the white podium. It makes you think…
Not sure if this has been noted before, but there it is….
@Geezer….
Funny, the resemblance to John Kerry in that Bok cartoon??
How come he hasn’t sued Josh yet?

==================================
Perhaps he was discouraged by thoughts of Josh live toon blogging the trial.
Darn.
Looks like he’s crapped his nappy.
Ick, I can’t unsee that!!!!
Josh, while the garbage can lid is good, I second changing the shield to a tree slice with widely varying ring widths at various compass points on the circles. It could have a spike in the centre reminiscent of a Viking/Scandinavian source.
Josh, the only improvement would be de rigueur wearing a nappy (diaper for you lot)
DJ, I noticed the resemblance as well. I also think the figure to the right resembles our own little emperor himself in disguise.
It’s such a tempting target…

Cor! Now that feral beavers aka “Castor fiber” have been cited in Devon for the first time since. c. AD 1500, eagle-eating eco-twits may find assistance in their damsite endeavors.
International socialism, national socialism– leave it to Beaver, twit-heads.
Actually, the cartoon looks like a pre-existing condition prior to rigor mortis.
================================================================
I’m not an artist but if a future version uses a tree slice then it should definitely be a splintered tree slice.
(And a broken and dangling hockey stick.)
Isn’t it illegal to mock a Nobel Prize winning “scientist”?

because the cartoon is way more flattering than real life.
Awww, Josh . . . you make him look so cuddly . . . like a little cute baby venomous reptile . . .
John
Science do have a hall of fame that is either formal or informal through the text books. What we need is a science hall of disgrace to record the crooks, swindlers, and of course the officials who covered up and supported fake science. Let’s examine Galileo’s case. Galileo was persecuted and suffered a lot.Maybe Galileo’s potential contribution to science could have been more if not for the mental anguished and distraction. Galileo’s prosecutors had their field day in persecuting Galileo. They had the power and pomp of office. They had the money, fame, and other things that would really entice the ” scientists” of today to follow the official line just like in the old soviet union. Yet we never heard or recall who were his prosecutors and some of the dirty linens of those prosecutors. A hall of shame might even be more interesting to the public and it will also put some of the “scientists” to take a hard look before they swallow the temptation of cooking their work.
Josh,
Is that cartoon going to appear on your next calender and is Anth@ny going to send it as a Christmas present?
Maybe the next cartoon with a hockey stick should have it patched up and held together with baling wire and duct tape?
Where has all the rigor gone? Long time passing
Where has all the rigor gone? Long time ago
Where has all the rigor gone? Shunned by warmists, every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Thank you, Skeptics, for not cowering to Mann and his friends, the establishment shills. Thank you Anthony, Steve, Judith and all.
@ DJ
“I noticed that Mann stated in a response to a former student that he’s color blind…”
It seems to me that te poor ol’ Mann is blind to reality as well: 17+ years of stability remain unnoticed??? TsTsTs….
Steely Dan – Deacon Blues
Now Now Gail that would be soooooo not nice.
But just soooooo Funny!
James Bull
Bring on the lions!
good funny stuff, many thanks
It seems that Mann has rigor mortis.
Bwaaah!
Amator1;
The “John Cook” scribble in the altered image is arrowed at Hitler in the original.
Something tells me he’s forgotten to wear a cup under that thing. When he goes to trial, it’ll matter.
