Monday Mirthiness – Mann's keyboard?

There was a lot of interest in my post Michael Mann the ‘reluctant public figure’ and ‘typewriter expert’ where he made the easily debunked claim about the QWERTY keyboard being the very first. Since then, spies, lubricated by “big oil” have managed to get a photo purported to be of Dr. Mann’s keyboard, and one look will explain much.  Apparently, this keyboard is standard issue to any alarmist.

This also explains the division of time related to the co-founder of Greenpeace troll incident:

Surely the “Shift” key should be “Shifty”?

I love it.

Of course the CTRL key must be in the mix, but I think Backspace would be unnecessary since mistakes are never made (or they don’t matter).

Most probably (though not showing here) the Plus button is located near the C Key.
Also one would expect to find Hockey Stick keys abundant in this keyboard.

Some people are very talented, insightful, and have way too much free time. Thanks.
I would add “yours” to the up-arrow key.

Hmmmn. Clever that, disguising the [Enter] key as a carriage return. (Else his type-writer won’t go down to the next QWERTY line on the paper.)

On James’s Hansen’s GISS office computer keyboard, every other key is SHIFT.
Muller’s BEST keyboard has a big Ctrl-X key as the space bar.

Perhaps he should buy a new keyboard from the IPCC or the British Met Office…. The most recent ones are equipped with a “backtrack” key.

Simultaneous pressing of ctrl/alt/delete=secret function of “hide the decline” 🙈🙉🙊

I’ve said for a while that people who debate this issue on comment boards must get a daily email announcement from their leaders advising what the ‘term-du-jour’ is. I’ve noticed that if one person uses it, all of a sudden, EVERYONE is using it. The “Ad hominem attack”. The “Strawman argument”. “Causation doesn’t equal correlation”. “On the Koch Brothers payroll.” “Flat earther”, etc. These are terms that just a couple of years ago, I never saw anywhere in comment threads. Now everyone uses them as if they’re part of the indoctrination studies at AGWU.

Well I know this wont get past moderation but I have been researching the issue of legal defense funds and tax ramifications. What I have found is that it all hinges around who set up the fund and their donative intent.
If the fund is altruistic like legal aid then then it is considered a non-taxable gift. However, if the doners stands to profit from the legal outcome and you accept the money then it is taxable income.

Just part of Al Gore’s “Climate Reality Training”
Every once in awhile they are sent here to ‘Fight the good fight’ and run home with their tail between their legs because they have no real facts. Then you get things like the hilarious hot wopper site. One visit was enough to make me just about bust a gut laughing. You could see the venom dripping from the fangs and the spittle being flung.

One of Mann’s keys is upside down, but it doesn’t matter.
Mann is a touchy type who doesn’t need to touch type, the keys select themselves.

Not just CTRL and Shift (happens) keys, but ALT, as in the alternate reality in which he lives…
Then of course there are the function keys, which he uses to hide the decline and fill in the
grid gaps with “missing heat”.
Looks like one of those cheap, off-brand keyboards by that obscure (but public) firm Sosumi….

Anybody here want to ask Dr. Mann a question? E-mail it to steyn@marksteyn.com.
Mark Steyn, embroiled in a lawsuit brought by Dr. Mike Mann, is asking for suggestions as to how he can substantiate his case during the discovery phase of the trial. Plainly, Steyn wants the Climate Skeptic blogosphere to provide lines of inquiry which will support certain statements he made about Dr. Man for which the suit was brought.
Dr. Mann’s mysteriously funded lawsuit against National Review and Mark Steyn is alive and well. National Review, having failed to get the suit dismissed, has made conciliatory-sounding noises, but Steyn says he will fight to a verdict. Apparently Steyn has been unable to secure the aid of anonymous deep pockets or pro bono lawyers and is in a serious bind for funds. Anyone so inclined can help at: steynonline.com
