WUWT.com is a game changer. This is not only because of its vast readership, but also because of the general intelligence of the posts, sensible light touch of the moderators and knowledgeable comments of your readership.
I am optimistic that the leaking of the draft copy of AR5, which has allowed you people to get a preview of the erroneous science behind the alarmist claims the IPCC are set on promoting, will become a watershed. Your struggle is a simple one; to get honesty into the public debate about global warming. You will prevail.

Perhaps you have not considered their limited access to computers? Perhaps you would like to elaborate on what “global climate disruption” is and what we could do about it.. oh wait, even after all of the endless shouting, fear mongering, name calling, failure to look at data that doesn’t support your argument, green energy policies, and government regulation, CO2 continues to rise, in fact, rising even faster than before. Perhaps you need to come to terms with reality and acknowledge that humans are relatively powerless in the greater grandeur of the climate system and there is nothing we can do about it.

I only discovered WUWT this year after becoming a convert through reading James Delingpole’s excellent book, “Watermelons…”. I am stunned by what I have learned this year and have become a daily follower of the developments via WUWT in the largely unknown debate that thankfully still persists. Thank you to Anthony and many others who are altruistically keeping a small but bright spotlight on this important issue.

Very soon viewer numbers on WUWT will exceed those of the Misleading Slimy Media , or does MSM mean main stream media?.
Funny how truth, a willingness to consider alternatives and provide access to source information, is so much more successful than telling people what they shall think.
From this oasis of honest skepticism, I foresee the future of science, the journals are crumbling, print media has lost its way and authoritative assertions of certainty only produce snorts of derision.
Science through the scientific method lives on, at WUWT.
Thanks for saving my sanity, I thought in 2008-2009 that madness was sweeping the globe, thanks to WUWT and friends I found out its only sweeping government agencies and the compliant media.
Neither of those groups being necessary for a civic society I now have hope for our future.

Indeed, but the best of WUWT is not the strident politics presented, but the demonstration of the demos in the democracy. Sure, democracy is not always fair to the heros (Themistocles raising a Greek fleet in the Persian wars, then getting exiled to Persia later), but people are naturally (politically) inert. While Themistocles being an activist of the time worked that time, later he became a nuisance (especially to the Spartans…). Anyhow, there is no need to activate our science, just use the tool that we were given, facts. The Demos Inertia does the rest of the work 😉
Watch the rats running the anchor line, it has already begun…
It would be fun to see how many WUWTers are like Willis E., “…fiscally conservative and socially liberal”.

Anthony: Congratulations for another spectacular year. WUWT is the best source for unbiased information on CAGW. (BTW, am I the only one who knows that we are in an interglacial period during which the earth warms…until it doesn’t?) Hopefully, the wheels are coming off the IPCC cart for once and for all.
And…did you mean 4.75 weekends instead of 5 years? Or did I read the numbers wrong?

Anthony – I found your blog in 2007 (I think) as a result of a headline on Drudge concerning global temperatures—all four metrics were FALLING! What I found in reading further was SANITY, reason, common sense, and good science! DAMN – I was hooked!
Seriously, the posts and science are not only informative and entertaining, but from them and comments from those who reply, I have learned more about what true science is than I ever learned in graduate school and throughout the time I was active in science. Beyond that, I have become armed with solid facts and knowledge to set anyone claiming CAGW (etc) is real back on their heels, and getting them to think (!) perhaps for the first time.
So, as I know many others have done, thank you, thank you, thank you to you and the moderators for the incredible work you do.
At such time that the ideology of CAGW falls, it will be in large measure due directly to the information provided by this blog.

I am someone who lurks here trying to learn something new everyday. I come from a poly sci / debate background and mindset and engage in political “discussions” of all sorts on all kinds of sites. When CAGW/cap and trade were coming down the pike years ago, I was on a political website following a particularly nasty CAGW arguement between two people who both were spouting what sounded like real sources for their positions (being an ex-debater, you pay close attention to sources). One of the participants finally threw up his virtual hands at the others pigheadedness (which I have now come to regard as zealotry) and said, “try taking that evidence over to the crowd at WUWT and see what happens to you!” I was intrigued by that, and have been reading here almost everyday since. While the science and math minutiae may be a little over my head at times, the scientific processes that use them are not. Thank you for that.
