I continue with uploading videos from the 24 hour WUWT.TV Gore-a-thon on November 14-15th seen live here on WUWT. This post contains two segments, one that was seen during the live session on Hurricane Sandy, and one that was a backup that never made it to air on extreme weather and climate connections.
Both are from Joe D’Aleo, an AMS Certified Consulting Meteorologist, co-founder of the Weather Channel, and currently a lead forecaster for WeatherBELL. Joe offers decades of forecasting experience in these presentations.

This probably sums up most succinctly what all this is about and how liitle it has to do with CO2.
None if this is new, all of this is simple, well understood meteorology and climatology. This just underlines the duplicity of all those still banging the global warming drum.
This explains things so well, I suggest you make it sticky for a while.
It would be a good idea, I think, for future slides to include a URL at the bottom. Viewers could make screenshots and transcribe the URLs later, enabling them to cite them in future online disputes or articles.
And/or a list of “active” URLs could be posted along with the threads devoted to each broadcast segment, like this thread, beneath the pictorial link to the broadcast segment. Each URL in such a list could be given a number or brief codeword corresponding to a number or codeword on the chart in the broadcast, and/or could have a brief annotation describing it.
Hi Joe: Thanks for using my graph of the sea surface temperature anomalies of Sandy’s track. You’ll love this comment that was left in response to the same graph being presented in another of my YouTube videos. The commenter wrote:
“This is a complete load of tripe. I can never determine if someone of your ilk is simply being contrarian to make money or actually believe the crap that you put out. you need to do a breakout of warming trends for north hemisphere temperatures. Maybe that will help you get a clue. If you are still putting out false information about climate change 4 years from now and are continuing to place our future generations in danger I hope somebody catches up with you and gives you what you deserve.”
Hmm. The commenter is clueless like most AGW proponents. Instead of the sea surface temperatures of Sandy’s actual track, he/she is suggesting I need to do a “breakout of warming trends for north hemisphere temperatures.” I don’t think so.

I took a second look at world winter temperature trends and concluded that
while the world is getting mixed and alarmist messages about so called extreme weather and climate warming caused primarily my man, the planet seems to be doing exactly the opposite especially during the winters. European and North American winters were supposed to get much warmer. Instead a reoccurring winter cooling cycle has been underway for 15-20 years now over much of the Northern Hemisphere like there existed 1880-1910 and again 1940-1970.
The annual global temperature anomaly has been flat for-15 years now or since 1997 and has been actually dropping during the last decade
The winter temperature anomaly for the Northern Hemisphere as measured by Hadcrut3gl shows a negative linear trend for 15 years since 1998
The winter temperatures for Contiguous United States have been dropping since 1990 at -0.26 F per decade [per NCDC]
The annual temperature for Contiguous United States has been dropping since 1998 at- 80 F per decade[ per NCDC]
The winter temperature departures from 1961-1990 mean normals for land and sea regions of Europe have been flat or even slightly dropping for 20 year or since 1990
The Canadian annual temperature departure form 1961-1990 averages has been flat since 1998
The winter temperature anomaly has been rising mostly due to the warming of the far north and Atlantic coast only
8 of the 11 climate regions in other parts of Canada showed declining winter temperature departures since 1998
During the 2011/2012 winter the Canadian Arctic showed declining winter temperature departures
The winter temperature departures for the Canadian Arctic Mountains and Fiords dropped from 6 C and 5.2 C in 2010 and 2011 to only 1c in 2012
So the winters continue to cool .
There is a small typo error in my last post The Contiguous US Annual Temperatures have been declining at – 0.80 F/decade and not 80F since 1998. Sorry.
Well Bob, let me help your YouTube admirer with the “breakout”, what ever one of those is.
A plot of total annual accumulated cyclone energy along side North Atlantic sea temperatures _does_ show a strong correlation. It also shows how the vast majority of this is repetitive long term cycle known as AMO, the Joe covered well in the video.

This is not new, its well known that cyclones get their energy from ocean surface heat.
The ignorance is not surprising. The most important thing in that comment is “we know where you live” kind of threat.
I am in the UK on a Mac and I only see a black rectangle for each clip – I can only get sound.
What do I need to do?

These types of comments from the “believers” are more than disturbing. It is the sign of what to expect in the years ahead. Control of the internet will be well supported by these people who across EU, US, CA, AU, UN and so forth put their agenda into play and will be out to eliminate/suppress any views contrary to their collective . I would take their hate mongering seriously. They are a product of the generation who are and have been brainwashed through “modernizing” education and political divergence to Marxism.
“The ignorance is not surprising” I would not categorize it as ignorance as much as what is the real issue in that the religious zealotry mental state of people who are willing followers of false gods such as Gore and current leadership. We see Jamie Fox declaring Obama as “lord and savior” with all sincerity. It is the tip of the iceberg.
