24 Hours of Climate Reality: Gore-a-thon – Hour 14

A new post containing a cartoon from Josh will appear every hour. At the end of the 24 hours, everything will be collated on a single page. Readers are encouraged to post skeptical arguments below, as well as offer comments on what has been seen from the Climate Reality Project so far.

——-

I’ll believe climate is a crisis when you start acting like there is one.

Meme MIne said on A paler shade of green:
ALGORE is my shepherd; I shall not think.

He maketh me lie down in Greenzi pastures:

He leadeth me beside the still-freezing waters.

He selleth my soul for CO2:

He leadeth me in the paths of self-righteousness for his own sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of reason,

I will fear no logic: for thou art with me and thinking for me;

Thy Gore?s family oil fortune and thy 10,000 square Gorey foot mansion, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a movie in the presence of contradictory evidence:

Thou anointest mine head with nonsense; my fear runneth over.

Surely blind faith and hysteria shall follow me all the days of my life:

and I will dwell in the house of ALGORE forever.

Our Pledge:

We must trust the carbon trading markets and corporations and politicians to manage the temperature of the planet.

We must call it consensus even though all of the thousands of consensus scientists all have their own special, personal and unique views of CO2 climate crisis.

We must trust the good and trustworthy politicians who promise to lower the seas and make the weather colder by taxing the air.

We must continue to believe in climate change crisis despite Obama not even mentioning the crisis in his state of the union address.

We must believe in climate change even though the number of consensus scientists vastly outnumbers the marching climate change protesters.

We must believe in climate change h e l l and spread our love for the planet as we condemn billions to a CO2 death just to make sure the kids turn the lights out more often and vote progressive when they reach voting age.

We must believe even though the thousands of consensus scientists refuse to march in the streets themselves. Don’t they have families to save too?

==================

Josh put a lot of work into these, so if you like the work, drop by the tip jar. Unlike Gore’s CRP, he won’t spam you asking for more. Buy him a beer, he’s worked a long time bringing us enjoyment with only some “attaboys” sent his way.

Don’t know if this has already been mentioned, but an interesting list of severe weather events has been published regarding 1950s, 60s & 70s:

The ecological foot print of Al Gore is about 1 million times bigger than mine.
Why should I take any action?

It was 6C this morning. Can we get this clown to speak nonstop (tv muted of course) during July and August between 9 am and 6 pm when temps are forecasted to be at least 35C on the humidex? I would really appreciate walking my dogs without feeling like I was in downtown Kuala Lumpur.

“Sleek” is one way of describing slimy, disreputable and dishonourable politicians.
“Sleek” is one of the many ways of describing Al Gore. “Hypocritical” is another, “cavalier with the facts” is another. The list goes on and on.
If politicians ever stop to wonder why the general public holds them in such contempt, they need look no further than Al Gore and everything he stands for.

Like I said before I haven’t seen anything from CRP and I don’t expect to unless skeptic sites post it, or I search it out, but like the vast majority of the people in the world I have no plans to search it out.

I can’t quite believe you’re still posting every hour, with something different every time (and Josh, great work!) So much more interesting and fact-filled than that other thing that wants people to believe there is a “climate crisis” (seems to be the new buzz-word).

To think that, but for a chad or two, Gore was nearly President. At a time when the choice wasn’t. Imagine the world had it gone his way.

Moderators:
I no longer seem to be able to post video. I used to be able, and everyone else seems to…
Did I commit a faux pas and subsequently lost the ability, or does it have something to do with greasemonkey enabled (using firefox). Am I alone or are there others. GK

This Gore-a-thon has got to be the neatest thing I have ever experienced on the internet.
Thank you Algore for making it all possible!

Gladly. After geting rid of the previous occupant first, preferably. Now you know why so many mythologies have the upstart gods disposing of the founding deities and taking over the business, à la Zeus/Chronos…

Josh – your cartoon shows better than ten times a thousand words that CAGW is a religion and Algore is its televangelist.
Thanks.

Your comment about Big Al being “sleek” reminded me of these words by the Bard:
“Let me have men about me that are fat;
Sleek-headed men, and such as sleep o’ nights.
Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look;
He thinks too much: such men are dangerous.”

In the previous hour’s post you noted that despite the now near ubiquitous availability of personal video devices videos of Bigfoot haven’t increased. I have to disagree. In terms of carbon footprint Algore is the ultimate “Bigfoot”. His personal lifestyle spews out CO2 at a rate that’s probably equal to a Top Fuel dragster that goes through 15 gallons of nitromethane in under 4 seconds.
