These people are so desperate, that it’s almost funny, only if they weren’t potentially ruining everybodies lifes.

Australia is really losing it. Apart from the climate stupidity, they now have probably lost their entire cattle export trade which will be replaced by Brazilian etc cattle and no one will even care…..

But the death threats and dead animal pictures were from warmenist……………..

Couple of points.
1. It has been revealed that some of the email “threats” date back to early 2010 and in effect pre-dates the Aust Govt’s decision to implement a carbon tax by a whole year.
2. The artist of the cartoon produces cartoons for the left wing Australian website called “crikey” (among other media outlets). I was a bit surprised to see it here.

Louise is referring to a Green led ban on exporting live cattle to indonesia. This followed a ‘public outcry’ after scenes of cruelty were filmed in an Indonesian slaughter house.
Firstly, I grew up on a dairy farm and I detest any cruelty to cows which are in the main gentle creatures…but as with so much Green thinking there is an absence of logic which has lead to a glaring and frankly appalling error of judgment on the part of the Gillard Government. Let me put it this way.
Cruelty to some cows in Indonesia = despicable= perpetrators should be punished = practice abolished = 1 X on the ‘scale of suffering’.
Cruelty to 250.000! cows which will not be exported over the next six months = hunger…transport…slaughter…pit burial…unimaginable pain and waste = cruelty to farmers, feed stock merchants, truckers, stock yard owners, ship owners = financial ruin…domestic violence…possible suicide = 1000 X on the same ‘scale of suffering.
I a reminded of when the Animal Liberation People in the UK ‘liberated’ the population of a mink farm so that the cute furry things would not be harmed….it simply didn’t occur to them that the mink would kill every living thing on the river system for miles around…in short they caused an ecological disaster.
The Greens are a menace and must be stopped.

I love the part where it says “The university denied it was creating a ruse, maintaining the initial report, in the Fairfax-owned Canberra Times last week, failed to indicate when the threats were made.” Nor were the nine scientists “locked away.”
What, no peer-review? Shame on the university! How can we be expected to believe university staff, much less scientists, if they have no capacity to review the work of others? That could lead to white-washed investigations and worse!

In Oz, on Monday 6th June a local TV Channel website Ninemsn ran a poll asking : “should an election be held before a carbon tax is introduced”. I did not see the final result but in less than a 24 hour period the voting was:
YES 109,158
NO 25,762
IMO the significance of this poll should not be underestimated, coming as it did after a fortnight of intensive non-stop propaganda by government and associated CAGW believers, of which the bogus death threat beatup was a part.

The half baked stories of recent death threats to Australian climate pseudo scientists were cooked up from stale emails years old. These stories however were not intended to garner sympathy for the climate activist scientists, rather they were intended as a smear against sceptics. This was supposed to lend support to calls for less coverage of sceptic views in the media as it may encourage such behaviour. This is evidenced by stories such as this –

Oddly enough, I’ve seen far more convincing evidence that the warmists and their supporters have uttered death threats to skeptics over the years. Including me. So their whiny little complaints have absolutely zero sympathy from me.
I’ve always avoided hugging stupid people, you never know what diseases they’ve exposed themselves to due to their ignorance.

I suspect that like The Git, Mike and Garth are freezing their butts off in Tasmania. The Git is heading towards the kitchen where there’s a lovely CO2-emitting fire, a glass of red neddy and a nice curry to cook. ‘Night 🙂

Some believe that AGW alarmism has been used to help polar bears. Perhaps Aussies could import a few for hugging purposes. Surely the bears ought to be grateful.

What The Git finds strange is that in all this bashing of climate scientists is that no-one has called attention to the fact that Anthony is a climate scientist…

When those scientist find that they were wrong about climate change and have improved knowledge about climatic behavior and have made us all change the world for the better. They will have done it all for nothing.
