Al Gore to Host Live InteractiveTown Hall Meeting Today

(Curious that this happens on the anniversary of Climategate…. h/t to Joe D’aleo )

Al Gore will host a live interactive online town hall called Math, Science and the Future of Our Nation today at noon. (12PM EST, 9AM PST)

The town hall will connect young people from the US with students from around the world, and with internationally known science and technology leaders including inventor Dean Kamen and astronaut Sally Ride. The discussion will focus on attitudes among American youth toward math and science, and how to inspire and motivate them so they will be successful in a competitive global marketplace.

This unique event is part of Connect a Million Minds (CAMM), TWC’s philanthropic commitment to connect youth to ideas, people and opportunities that will inspire them to pursue education and careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

“In today’s increasingly global economy, America cannot afford to continue to fall behind the world in the very subjects that are going to drive economic growth and development in the coming decades,” said Gore, who is appearing courtesy of Current TV, where he serves as Chairman. “By creating a dialogue that includes not only experts on the subject matter, but the kids who are ultimately affected by this issue, Time Warner Cable’s Global Online Town Hall is likely to provide tremendous insights into the issue and provide a jumping off point for action.”

Members of the public can join the town hall at connectamillionminds.com where — using a new online broadcasting platform from Vokle – they can submit live video questions and comments from anywhere in the world in real time.

Al Gore brainwashing kid for a future world government, a world where they will learn to live sustainably while minimizing their carbon footprint. I pity those poor kids…

“America cannot afford to continue to fall behind the world in the very subjects that are going to drive economic growth and development in the coming decades,” said Gore
But….
Surely energy consumption and economic growth are pretty much in lock-step. So how can he have this as an aspiration, and at the same time want to reduce energy consumption by enormous amounts?
Is Al perhaps indulging in double-think?

Perhaps Al could give an update on how the global market in carbon credits is going to work

This will be a controlled stunt. All the questions will be pre approved. It will be a cold winter. Is Al going steady and having a chick keep him warm?
My question is an example on why he can’t do public meetings anymore. He is vulnerable to embarrassment.

It’s a pity that the TWC (Time Warner Cable, not The Weather Channel) picked Al to be the host. At least the panel is better. Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage of Discovery Channel’s “MythBusters” are also on it. (They really could use a resident physicist on their show, though.)

If it has Gore as a participant, it is nothing but propaganda.

Down with Red-Green AlGore fraud.
Bravo Environment Minister John Baird.

“Senate kills climate-change bill ahead of UN talks”
Conservative Senators have voted down an opposition bill to tackle climate change with just days to go before another round of United Nations talks in Mexico.
NDP Leader Jack Layton, whose party introduced the bill, says it’s “outrageous” an unelected Senate can kill what he says is important legislation.
The bill — the Climate Change Accountability Act — has spent the last year or so bouncing between the full House of Commons and its environment committee.”

So far the focus seems to be on promoting student interest in the math and science fields. Al’s key role in this presentation is a bit ironic, as he is the living embodiment of someone who has taken an almost complete ignorance of both math and science and turned it into a very lucrative career as a pseudoscience public relations personality.

what are the prerequisites to call yourself a philantropist, except being billionaire, hedge fund manager and having massive influence on media and politics ?

This is not a matter to “Connect a Million Minds”. This is an exercise in getting a bunch of puppets together of the SAME MIND. Called “group think”. Nothing more, nothing less.

Fantastic. I suppose that aside from discussing the latest consensus views on CAGW, Mr. Gore will also be indoctrinating teaching the kids about his novel new theory on Earth’s core temperature being some “several million degrees”. Even better that it’s being organized by Ted Turner-Fonda who has been instrumental in supporting science and math education (for example when he donated a billion dollars to a bunch of scheming UN bureaucrats).

I got it, Al Gore was afraid some investor in the Chicago CCX hoaxer scheme would accost his, so he only comes out now from secret lairs. Such a plan.
Getting your science from Al Gore is like getting security from the TSA.

There is a poll question on the link. You have to register your email and then provide full name and mailing address for your “prize” in order to vote or even see the poll results.
So full disclosure (no doubt to develop their “enemies list”) in order to vote on whether Al Gore is right or wrong about global warming.

So CANCER CELLS work to achieve GLOBAL GOVERNANCE upon the body….But when THOSE SO INTELLIGENT (So they consider themselves) cells succeed….. the body DIES. That’s how nature’s safety circuit works.

I mean like, for flips sakes ! – does anyone think that Gore can actually string a coherent argument together? – let alone add in some real ‘science’ debate? – and moreover, any awkward question requiring ‘thought’ (as in the use of a brain!) would be completely out of the running!

The Borg
The Borg are a fictional pseudo-race of cybernetic organisms depicted in the Star Trek universe.
Whereas cybernetics are used by other races in the science fiction world (and in recent times the real world) to repair bodily damage and birth defects, the Borg voluntarily submit to cybernetic enhancement as a means of achieving what they believe to be perfection (they also force their idea of perfection on others).
Aside from being the main threat in Star Trek: First Contact, the Borg also play major roles in The Next Generation and Voyager television series, primarily as an invasion threat to the United Federation of Planets and the means of return to the Alpha Quadrant for isolated Federation starship Voyager, respectively. The Borg have become a symbol in popular culture for any juggernaut against which “resistance is futile”. The Borg manifest as cybernetically enhanced humanoid drones of multiple species, organized as an interconnected collective, the decisions of which are made by a hive mind, linked to subspace domain. The Borg inhabit a vast region of space in the Delta Quadrant of the galaxy, possessing millions of vessels and having conquered thousands of systems. They operate solely toward the fulfilling of one purpose: to “add the biological and technological distinctiveness of other species to [their] own” in pursuit of perfection. This is achieved through forced assimilation, a process which transforms individuals and technology into Borg, enhancing – and simultaneously controlling – individuals by implanting or appending synthetic components.
Looks familiar doesn’t it.

10:10’s GUIDE FOR GREEN MEN: WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM YOUR ECO-JIHADIST GIRLFRIEND
1) Does she love children?
Of course! She finds them irresistably explodable.
2) Why does her breasts droop and sag so much?
Because there’s no pressure.
3) Does she like video games?
If you push her red button, she’ll twiddle your joystick, if you know what I mean.
4) Will she be a good lover?
Yes, definitely a 10:10 in bed! She’ll give you the best blow-up job you’ll ever get.
5) Is she a steady, mature type of gal?
Don’t expect too much, she’s at the age of stupid.
6) What if our dating activities are too carbon intensive? Will she get mad?
That’s OK, she’ll offset it by killing you.
7) How can I know whether or not we are right for each other?
Well, if you’re a squirrel, it will work out fine! Because she’s nuts.
8) Will she forever remain faithful to me?
Insha’Allah!
