Gore 2.0, now with Pacific Hurricanes, coming to a book store near you. Gore plans to hawk it on David Letterman next Tuesday night. One more reason not to watch Dave anymore. One can always hope though. Maybe he’ll feature Gore as a “stupid human trick”.
Al doesn’t seem to learn when it comes to visuals. Or maybe he just thinks that he’s obligated to put a picture of a hurricane on the front cover to keep the theme of AIT going. Either way. Any imagined link between hurricanes and global warming has evaporated.
My prediction: sales will be a fraction of AIT, and it probably won’t make the NYT bestsellers list. People are tired of the yap, as indicated by recent polls.

1. The hurricane was (a) Photoshopped in and (b) doesn’t appear accurately scaled (super-sized), (c) is overly white and (c) doesn’t follow the curvature of the Earth.
2. The bulk of North America has been turned into an inhospitable desert.
3. The ice-free Arctic that until now has only existed in Mr. Gore’s imagination is actually pictured here.
4. Sea level has risen enough to thin the piece of Mexico between the Bay of Campeche and the Gulf of Tehuantepec.
From these observations, we can glean that the plan to solve the climate crisis involves frightening the credulous with Photoshop.
Maybe he’ll feature Gore as a “stupid human trick”.
Or maybe he’ll bring back the classic, “Things dropped off of a 5-story building.”

Carbon neutral? Considering that the bottom has dropped out of the carbon credit market, it probably only costs about $0.0001 per book for that . . .
Today I received my monthly Costco Mag with Al Gore on the front cover (an old before weight gain photo) which went into the trash. I sent Costco an email requesting that the next mag have an alternate view to Al Gore’s on the issue of global warming and that I was suspending my shopping at Costco until they present a balanced view of this issue. This stand will cost me $ for some home an office products, but I am tired of everyone getting on the CO2 bandwagon to make themselves look “green”. There are real issues with air, water and solid waste polution that companies can help solve, but CO2 is not the right issue. I have to look at this CO2 crap from the electric company each month with their bill, but I have a choice with my home and office $.

My USA friends, how could you elevate to high office a person who claims to have made a book that it “carbon neutral”? Why not ask him for the equation showing carbon input = carbon output? If he cannot show that, then it’s an actionable fraudulent claim made to bolster sales. That is, it’s not legal.

I have “Earth in the Balance” if you ever want some Pythonesque quotes. Here’s some examples to start the dribbles of expectation.
At p 15:

In Costco’s lead article Al Gore states there is a “climate crisis”. I feel bad. Really bad. I’m going to help stop this crisis by lowering my carbon footprint by shopping at stores that don’t require me to use as much gas to get to. (Never mind that I’ll probably be saving money, since Costco is around ~$200/visit for me)
I too am sending Costco a letter of outrage for posting this profiteering buffoon on and in their publication. My letter will amount to a bristlecone ring in the grand quarterly profits of Costco, but unless and until I see a balancing article, my spending at Costco just came to a grinding slowdown.
Al Gore my have fooled Costco, but Costco isn’t going to fool me, nor by extension, will I be Al Gore’s fool.

Al Gore is no novice when it comes to computer generated imagery. Since polar bears aren’t suffering he had to generate a computer generated polar bear. The majestic icesheet fly by was stripped straight from “The Day After Tomorrow”.
I will say, that cover does look very odd. It’s just astounding that these people pushing AGW have to stoop to lies and diversions and make stuff up to get the point across. What is even more astounding is that intelligent people believe it.

You have published an article which uses the phrase “climate crisis” 5 times, and “global warming” twice. If, as Al Gore states, this is a crisis, and Costco publishes these claims, then is it not consistent that I should curtail my driving to Costco and cease making unnecessary purchases to reduce “global warming pollution”? On the other hand, if I were offended by your use of what many credible scientists believe to be climate alarmism, then a boycott of your company would be equally indicated.

—Science is not about consensus, it’s about repeatable results. Religion and government are about consensus.
There is massive fraud and misrepresentation as evidenced by publications the IPCC uses.
—The Hockey Stick was based on MBH98 and was debunked years ago by Steve McIntyre and Ross McKittrick
The IPCC’s models repeatedly fail to match real world observations.

The stupid thing is that there never was any increase in hurricanes, even before Ryan Maue’s latest data.
If you read the IPCC report, chapter 3, they say in the intro that there has been an increase since 1970. Why did they choose 1970? yes you guessed it, there was decrease in hurricanes around 1970. It’s like the sceptics saying temperatures have fallen since 1998.

I too received the Costco Connection magazine with AlGore looking down his nose at me and immediately threw it into the recycle bin (I am green in some areas ). I really enjoy shopping at Costco and have never been one to boycott a business. However I will be contacting Costco to request a different point of view be presented in a future issue.

What is so patently offensive about the whole affair is that Gore is pimping a book he wrote, and patting himself on the back for giving the profits to a “charity” he founded. Just like paying a carbon fine to Generation Investment Management, a company he owns to offset AIT’s carbon footprint.

Al Gore is a quintessential malicious narcissist. He will say anything to get attention and further his personal goals, no matter how wrong and destructive. As long as he is able to feed his pathological need for affirmation by snowing the uninformed and fearful or hapless stooges like Letterman with utter nonsense, that is all that counts.

To a socialist, a socialist hammer is the solution to every problem/crisis, even if they must be faked up.
I sometimes have the Costco/Walmart discussion with my liberal friends and relatives. The words I use are elitist, beautiful people, self-satisfied, classist, anti-working class, blue collar, smug and then hypocrite.
I shop at Walmart and will even more now. It’s less expensive. These are not the beautiful people, they are just sincere and hard working.
The Oh so lofty liberals must soar above the workers at Walmart. It is the same mental disease as Al Gore and his Berkinstock grab for power using fraudulent climate models. Everything is bent to the elevation of the liberal elites.
After all…. it is the love of money that is the root of all evil. Costo’s want for gain may have cost them more than they know. Hard for me to understand why a business would sponsor a cause that would certainly be the downfall of their business… carbon crap and spread the wealth, better known as socialism.
