For all of JFK’s faults, which I will leave unlisted, he was a man who stood up for freedom. He knew tyranny when he saw it, and strove against it as best he could. If there is a more complete way to mock everything he stood for, let one of you commenters here enlighten me.
By all means. Allow me, and I’m sure there will be others. I believe you are right in that he knew tyranny when he saw it. It is difficult to say, but I believe he would have seen through the AGW lie. Nothing threatens freedom more, or invites tyranny more than a lie as huge as AGW is.

The only good of it all is that my enemy has unveiled themselves for all to see.

Speaking of back from the dead, I am a victim of global cooling! The nor’easter that dumped 18″ of snow on me, also knocked down several trees across my power-lines. I finally got back power this afternoon!

Welcome home! Technically, that storm was no nor’easter. Those form along the coast from NJ south, then come up and strengthen from cold air to the north & west and moisture from the south.

Your storm was a strange streched out affair with feed of cold air from due north that reached down to Florida, I’m not quite sure where the moisture came from, it didn’t start out with lake effect moisture.

New Hampshire got very little snow and a south wind that eventually brought cold air from Atlanta. We did get some rain, but it had amore of a tropical feel to it.

It would seem to be a lot less work to just quote Barack Obama on the same issues, except he just wants to overhaul the American auto industry.

The really scary part is that they’re not even bothered that everyone knows they’re making it up now.

Phillip, I disagree that they are “desperate”. This is nothing but marketing on the part of Greenpeace. They are marketing their agenda, much the same way Gore marketed HIS agenda with the AIT movie.
The same way the IPCC markets their ideas to garner support. The same way some scientist market their ideas to get grant money.

If anything, this points to a failing on the part of us skeptics.

My analogy is that when we first started fighting a ground war in Vietnam, we lost miserably. We were attempting to fight a conventional engagement against very effective guerilla warfare, and our troops didn’t stand a chance. We learned, eventually, and modified/adopted tactics that allowed us to bring supperior weaponry/technology to bear such that we won some battles.

We’re trying to win this battle with logic and reasoning. Why? There’s nothing logical or reasonable about Gore’s messaging. And the people that go ga-ga for it aren’t applying logic or reason.

We need to play the game their way, with just a hint of logic and reason, enough to make some folks go “Hmmmm…didn’t think of that. Why ISN’T that happening?”…then toss in a little “And Oh by the way, they’re going to waste BILLIONS of tax dollars that we can’t afford to waste!” on the side, and we’ll start making progress.

We need someone to take out these same types of ads. Full page in the WSJ or the NYT that deliver 5 bullets of information. Plant the seeds.
