Is it an inadequate weather station that should be completely re-sited? = Yes
Does a poor station "disprove" global warming? = No

A video from the early 90s stated the same thing,
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5949034802461518010

Please don't forget that further to rigging the results by selective placement of detectors the US is also engineering the weather and using it as a weapon. NASA is totally involved, also all the green groups. It is also important to remember that deforestation and destruction of the eco system in many countries is a monumental crime being committed by western corporations/governments. In the Middle East Israel and US/UK have systematically cleared the land of trees and vegetation. The crimes of the elite against humanity and our environment are endless but they use their "experts", their media, and their rigged science to convince you that climate change is a result of you breathing and breeding. In the UK we've had the coldest year (including the summer) yet the elite Gordon ass-licker Brown tells us global warming and the Islamists are the biggest threat to our security. The man is insane (and the Islamists btw, are trained by the British Army and the Saudis).

Here's one guy who thinks global warming is a lot of bs. Since the start of the USA where a state religion was prohibited and the bs'rs in that area couldn't extract money from the public, these same type of people have been trying to come up with some other unprovable theory that would be promoted as gospel so they could tax people to "solve" this "problem".
Don't be a bunch of chumps; in geological terms, they are trying to prove a theory that requires hundreds of years combined with thousands of variants coming at random and different times.
Like someone says: Gimme a break!!

BOTTOM LINE. WE HAVE OUTCOME BASED POLICY. I WONDER IF THE QUARTER MILLION BARRELS OF OIL WE BURN EVERY DAY IN THE MIDDLE EAST HAS BEEN TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT?

one last thing I remember about the weather station is that there were many more trees around it in the 70's, it is possible they thinned out the trees around 1980 so if the station was in direct sunlight vs. shaded it might also make a difference.

Hey I grew up there are tahoe marina unit 30. I remember the weather station perfectly.

I will say that the tennis courts were there before well before 1980, so I don't know if that is totally it.

But I do know if you look at the graph look at 1960 and 1980 and compair them to the sunspot data you'll see huge rises in sunspots. 1980 was the beginning of this off the chart sunspot multicycle growth.

Anyway interesting that your looking at this.

REPLY: The property management person I spoke to said "early 80's" but she hadn't been there during that period. It just goes to show that interviews/memory isn't always reliable. As you said in another post, they were built in 1973. The best way will be to check town records, such as contruction permits.

I still have not figured out why people who support "global warming" are so opposed to this. Since when is correcting the data set worthy of ridicule? Unless of course they aren't concerned about science, or maybe they just forgot the definition:

sci·ence /ˈsaɪəns/
–noun
1.	a branch of knowledge or study dealing with a body of facts or truths systematically arranged and showing the operation of general laws

I don't think anyone on this site is saying that global warming isn't true. All that's being said is the data being collected is suspect, with the goal being to fix the problems. Then more accurate temperature data can be collected. Determining whether the earth is actually warming or not is a completely separate issue than finding out what actually causes the warming and/or cooling.

thats not the point, dork. the data being recorded isn't accurate. Whats the point of graphing anything over time, if the data isn't 100%?

You've finally nailed it, Anthony. It's all the concrete and asphalt that is making the world warmer! It was not humans at fault after all!
